Ortega OLL
Orient the 2x2's top face over a solved bottom face: 7 cases.
What it is
The Ortega (Varasano) method solves a 2x2 in three steps: a face, then the opposite face (OLL), then both layers' permutation at once (PBL). Seven OLL cases and six PBL cases make it the usual step up from a beginner's method.
Recognition
Count the top-colour stickers on top: one means Sune or Anti Sune; none means H or Pi; two means P, T or L; four means solved. Then read where the others point.
